Community-based organizations are here to assist you.

IMPACCT Brooklyn

IMPACCT Brooklyn (formerly Pratt Area Community Council) has served the communities of Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bedford Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, and Prospect Heights for more than fifty years. When you sign up for JustFix.nyc, you’ll also be connected with advocates and organizers at IMPACCT who can assess your situation and work with you to identify City and non-profit assistance to resolve building issues, address landlord harassment, and help you keep your apartment.

The Legal Aid Society

For over 140 years, lawyers with the Legal Aid Society have worked to protect, defend, and advocate for the rights of generations of vulnerable New Yorkers, families, and communities.

If you are facing eviction or foreclosure, are living in rental housing in need of repair, or are homeless, you may be eligible for free legal assistance.
