Landmarks Commission extends Prospect Heights study area
Posted: July 2, 2008 - 9:49pm

Following comments from PHNDC, other civic organizations, and neighborhood residents submitted after its April 9 community forum, the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission has revised the boundaries of the study area for a Prospect Heights Historic District.

The new boundaries include buildings on the western end of Dean and Bergen Streets, the northwest and southeast ends of Sterling Place, the northern end of Vanderbilt Avenue, and the west side of Underhill Avenue between Sterling Place and St. John's Place.

LPC will vote on whether to hold a public hearing on historic designation for Prospect Heights at a meeting to be held July 15.
