For 33 years, Frank Widdi and Abdul Jawad have served the Prospect Heights neighborhood, operating the Met Food grocery on Vanderbilt Avenue. The store has recently completed a significant renovation, adding floor space and offering a larger variety and selection of grocery items.

As part of this change, the store is being rebranded as Food Town, continuing to operate under the same ownership. As thanks for many years of support, Frank, Abdul and all their employees would like to invite members of the Prospect Heights community to a grand (re)opening party to be held on Friday, October 14 from 11AM to 6PM. The event will feature music, family entertainment, and of course food and refreshments. Stop by to wish them another 33 years of success on Vanderbilt Avenue!
