"Brooklyn at Eye Level" examines Atlantic Yards from community perspective
Posted: November 19, 2008 - 9:33am

From Atlantic Yards to high-rise condos, the future of central Brooklyn is under construction right now.

BROOKLYN AT EYE LEVEL is a project of the acclaimed theater company The Civilians in collaboration with Urban Bush Women, Michael Hill's Blues Mob, neo-soul singer Grace Kalambay, and local youth from Atlantic Terminals, Brooklyn Tech and more. Each performance followed by discussions with special guests.

This lively performance of THEATER, DANCE, and MUSIC takes its inspiration from interviews with the real life players in the story of Brooklyn: residents both old and new, community activists, developers, politicos and others.

The performance will be presented at the Brookly Lyceum, 227 4th Avenue (M,R to Union St. or 2,3,4,5,N,B,Q to Atlantic Ave.). Performances are December 4 - 7, 2008 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm
Saturday and Sunday at 3pm).
