The Prospect Heights Neighborhood Development Council was formed in the spring of 2004 by a group of neighborhood associations concerned about the course of development in Prospect Heights, and interested in working together to ensure that future development in the area address the needs and reflect the values of the citizens of Prospect Heights.
The Prospect Heights Neighborhood Development Council has as its
purposes:
- To assess the needs and concerns of the Prospect Heights
community in terms of housing, economic development, physical
environment, safety and security and social services;
- To prepare or sponsor analyses of potential development in the
Prospect Heights community, including the impact of such development on
the existing conditions in Prospect Heights;
- To represent the interests of its member organizations in
relations with elected officials, public agencies, and commercial
interests; and
- To coordinate the participation of its member organizations in
fulfilling the above purposes.
