This Saturday, June 22, kick off the summer and celebrate community at the first-ever Prospect Heights Together Day! From 10:00AM until 3:00PM, residents will enjoy block-party style festivities on the P.S. 9 playground on St. Mark’s Avenue between Underhill and Vanderbilt Avenues.
Activities scheduled for the day include:
10:00 AM Rain barrel give away by Council Member Cumbo (to 12:00PM)
10:30 AM Bike New York learn-to-ride clinic (pre-register
here)
11:00 AM Face painting (to 3PM)
12:00 PM Ready Girl, the emergency preparedness superhero (to 3PM)
1:30 PM Bike New York learn-to-ride clinic (pre-register here)
There will be inflatable rides for kids, music and more from 10:00AM until 3:00PM. You’ll also have an opportunity to learn more about PHNDC and its committees that advocate for safer streets, fair housing practices, historic preservation, and emergency preparedness, as well as meet representatives from local and city-wide advocates including Bike New York, Buscada, Brooklyn Neighborhood Improvement Association, IMPACCT Brooklyn, JustFix.nyc, the New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps, and Transportation Alternatives.
