The NYC Department of Finance and partners are holding a series of SCTRIE/DRIE Rent Freeze enrollment events to help seniors and people with disability freeze their rents.

Seniors and people with disabilities can keep their rent from increasing if they:

  • Are 62 years or older, or 18 years old with a qualifying disability
  • Have a household income of $50,000 or less
  • Live in a rent regulated apartment
  • Spend more than 1/3 of their income on rent

NYCHA and Section 8 recipients are not eligible. More information on eligibility is available here.
