"No Flyers" sign helps keep your stoop or doorway clean
Posted: July 17, 2008 - 5:50am

The Prospect Heights Neighborhood Development Council has created a sign to discourage the distribution of unwanted flyers and menus. The sign can be affixed to a door or attached to a fence.

If your home or business is in the Prospect Heights area, drop us a line and we'll arrange to get you one.

You may also download a PDF of the sign to print and laminate yourself if you prefer.

PHNDC's "No Flyer" sign is not technically compliant with the state anti-flier law, which requires that the sign be at least 5" x 7 ", use capital letters one inch high, and use the following text: "DO NOT PLACE UNSOLICiTED ADVERTISING MATERIALS ON THIS PROPERTY."

A legally compliant version is available from the NYC Department of Sanitation, here.

Visit the the NYC DOS website for more information on enforcement and use in multiple use buildings.
