Despite winter's lingering grasp, the Friends of the Berms will take to the field on Saturday, April 15 from 10:00 am to noon. We hope you can join us to help green and clean the berms surrounding Grand Army Plaza!

Volunteers will meet at the corner of Plaza Street and Vanderbilt Ave, then move to the day's work area. Please arrive by 10:00! Adults and supervised children are welcome; experience is not required, just a smile. Gloves and tools are provided.

The Prospect Heights Street Tree Task Force (PHSTTF) will partner with the Washington Avenue Prospect Heights Association (WAPHA) on May 22nd to beautify Washington Avenue. The joint effort, using a $1,000 grant from the Citizens Committee for New York City and with assistance from the New York City Departments of Transportation, Sanitation and Parks, will accomplish the following: new bike racks, new trees, street litter removal, new litter baskets, trees pruned, flowers planted, tree beds aerated and mulched. Everyone’s help is needed to make this annual event a success. If you can just spare an hour please join your neighbors and help make Washington Avenue the finest commercial street in the neighborhood.
