You're invited!

On Saturday, June 22, kick off the summer and celebrate community at the first-ever Prospect Heights Together Day! From 10 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., residents will enjoy block-party style festivities on the P.S. 9 playground on St. Mark’s Avenue between Underhill and Vanderbilt Avenues.

The day features family-friendly games and entertainment, such as inflatable rides, face painting, music and more. The bicycling advocacy group Bike New York will hold two learn-to-ride bicycling clinics for children at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (pre-register here) and Council Member Laurie A. Cumbo will be giving away free rain barrels (while supplies last). Intersection | Prospect Heights returns with story sharing and a walking tour of the neighborhood at 12:00PM.

You’ll also have an opportunity to learn more about PHNDC and its committees that advocate for safer streets, fair housing practices, historic preservation, and emergency preparedness, as well as meet representatives from local and city-wide advocates including Bike New York, Buscada, Brooklyn Neighborhood Improvement Association, IMPACCT Brooklyn, JustFix.nyc, the New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps, and Transportation Alternatives.

Come out to meet your neighbors, have a great time, and help make Prospect Heights a safer, more just and sustainable neighborhood!
