Prospect Heights Street Tree Task Force
Location:
Meet at southeast corner of Vanderbilt Avenue and St. Marks Avenue
United States
Description:

The Prospect Heights Street Tree Task Force, along with NYC Parks Stewardship and Trees New York, will partner with neighborhood merchants and residents on Saturday, November 4 to clean, aerate, fertilize, and mulch Vanderbilt Avenue’s tree beds. Certified citizen pruners will be on hand to prune our street trees. Pitch in for an hour or so to ensure the survival of our street trees!

Our street trees have a tough life, but we can improve their lives, and that in turn will improve ours.

  • Volunteers will be provided garden gloves, cultivators, trash bags, compost, mulch and expert guidance.
  • Free daffodil bulbs will be available to volunteers compliments of the New Yorkers for Parks Daffodil Project.
  • “Curb Your Dog” signs will also be available for the street tree in front of your home or business
